Why can I not use the paste feature in the Sellercore editor?

Modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE, e.t.c.) by default block the dynamic access to your clipboard data. What this means is that a web page can not use code like javascript to access your clipboard and copied content. The reasoning is that it keeps unscrupulous web designers from secretly accessing and saving your computers clipboard content.

What was the last thing you copied anywhere on your computer? Have you ever copied financial information, passwords, personal letters? Clipboards can contain more than just your last copy too!

Bottom line this is a good thing and pasting a copy is still available through shortcut keys (Ctrl+V) and in the right-click context menu. These methods tell the browser that it is your intention to paste and will function as normal.
