I am using one of your templates for my ebay shop in the UK and have just been told that the template is not HTTPS compliant, so pretty soon when any of my customers view an item through certain web browsers (Google Chrome being the first to instigate this) they will have an alert to say the page is NOT secure – and potentially make them move away from my item – consequently I lose sales. Please advise why the page is not secure and also how this can be resolved. Thank you
Sellercore is now fully SSL compliant and your hosted images and files are now viewed as secure content. Sellercore will redirect all HTTP request to the secure HTTPS however you may still need to change your code URL’s to avoid warnings on sites like eBay. Simple change any URL pointing to Sellercore from “http://sellercore.com…” to “https://sellercore.com…” by adding the ‘s’.

I think you may be wrong!!! I am accessing one of your free ebay templates, and when I view the html code, it STILL says http and NOT https. The template is in the hobbies section, under photography, and is the one with the camera lens photo top left corner. Please advise why this particular template ha snot been updated. Thank you

Hi , i was having the same issue . Ebay mobile friendly checker will fix unsecure links if it’s working !!!! (which for me is not right now ) !!!
My resolution was to go to http://www.isdntek.com/ebaytools/ActiveContentSandbox.htm
Paste in your html code and scan , it will give you fixed content in the filtered tab and then you just need to paste in to ebay .
This worked for me hopefully for you too ….

Not just Chrome I use explorer and am also receiving same error as in picture above. I have read I need a certificate from hosts, that would be Sellercore…. I’m getting really worried with 4 days left till the end of October

The Above screenshot was published by me – The solution provided by ebrardfrancois@gmail.comt did not work – I even tried after deleting the image from HTML but yet it’s showing same error on Ebay.

We are currently in the process of changing over Sellercore to be full SSL complaint. We are also making changes to allow Sellercore more processing resources and a better backup system to combat against large server failures. Please note that Sellercore may have short down times while these changes are being made. We expect all to be updated over the next few days.
It’s also worth noting that you will notice an image URL change to include the “HTTPS” however we plan placing a redirect so current existing image URL’s will still function.
@ SellerCore: I am not an IT Expert but your WEB is for EBAY but it’s not fully compatible – ERROR: “Non-Secure HTTP Content in your Listing” – Here is the Screenshot:
It’s useless to have a Premium account on your web because Ebay keep threatening us regarding the active content issue – How many days will you take to resolve this issue? We have to leave your web if you guys will not fix within few days!
The new HTTPS standards are literally brand new and only affect viewers using the last Chrome browser update at that. This change has forced eBay to place this warning just so you are aware that your viewers may see a warning IF and current only if they are running this updated Chrome browser (see article below). All other browser at this point do not show this warning. It is also worth noting that the Chrome message simply states not to send any secure information such as a password which they would not be doing while viewing your eBay listing anyway.
All this said, this is the way of the future and Sellercore is moving forward and making steps to be HTTPS complaint. As mentioned above though, we are also using this opportunity to make other performance and backup upgrades to the Sellercore site. This is actively being worked on as we speak but unfortunately all this just takes time to be completed as seamlessly as possible, I wish it was as easy as just a magic push of a button. Once this has all been completed, Sellercore will be running on an a secure HTTPS platform and all existing HTTP image URL links will still work through a secure redirect however I imagine you will continue to see these warnings if you upload code that contains old HTTP URL’s that have not been changed to HTTPS. There will be a site wide notice and conversion tools upon completion.
