I see the option in my Sellercore image manager to switch my online image from public to private, when would I do this?

You will want to set you hosted image to private if you need it to immediately stop showing everywhere online.

If you come across a scenario where you realize that you have uploaded the wrong image after you already released it to the world, you will use this option to easily block it from being viewed no matter where the image is showing.

When you set an image view status to private, Sellercore immediately exchanges it out with a stock Sellercore image. This gives you time to find the correct image and use the image replace feature or take the listings down. If you replace the image, set the view back to public and all your listings will now show your new image. There is no need to go back and edit each listing with a new image URL.

– It should be mentioned that if you have recently viewed your own image online it may be cached and you might not immediately see the new image. Simply hard refresh your browser (Ctrl + F5) to refresh your cached images.
