When uploading pictures I’m getting a pixelated effect. This is only happening when I use photos from my camera.

This is an easy fix! Assuming the original image you’re uploading is not pixelated, the image is just getting over compressed.

When uploading an image, Sellercore uses the current image file size to best guess an appropriate compression rate to help bring the image file size down. The smaller the image file size, the faster it will load on your viewers browser.

Images found online usually will already have a smaller file and pixel size. Quality compression is generally only going to be an issue when you are taking pictures yourself with a high megapixel camera. Images online rarely need to be more than a fee hundred pixels wide to display a good image online. Digital cameras however usually take pictures with pixel rates in the thousands which is good for printing and photo editing. Large images uploaded with high pixel rates will only take longer to view and will be compressed anyway to fit your set image dimensions.

To fix this simply increase the “Compression” quality prior to uploading your image. You will find this setting on the image upload form. Finding the highest compression that complements your camera quality settings and does not appear pixelated is going to give you the best user experience.
