Can I use the animated .gif image file type in my templates and Sellercore editor?

Currently Sellercore supports uploading .gif image files however not animations.
You can however still use animated .gif image files in the Sellercore editor by simply linking the image “src” to the URL address on the image found online. Just uploads are not supported.
It is also worth noting that use of animated graphics generally is considered distracting and not best practice.
